Joint meeting

Members,

As announced in previous meetings, HELP University College Toastmasters Club will be having a joint meeting with Premier Advanced Toastmasters Club. Details are as follows:

Date: 28th March 2009, Saturday.
Venue: Banker's Club, KL
Time: 9.30am - 12.30PM

Premier Advanced is an excellent club and this is a great opportunity for members to gain some valuable experience as well as a latform for networking. Please be properly attired as Banker's Club is not your neighbourhood kopitiam.

On another note, this joint meeting happens to coincide with the Division W International Speech and Table Topics Contest which will be held in the afternoon in Sunway College. Transport will be provided upon request.

NEWSFLASH: HELP TMC TRIUMPHS ONCE MORE!!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen.

HELP TMC has created history once again.

Tonight, HELP TMC has succeeded in defending BOTH their championship titles at the Area W2 International Speech Contest and Table Topics Contest 2009.

We are proud to announce that our champions:

Area W2 International Speech Contest Champion: Jason Lim Zi Wen

Area W2 Table Topics Contest Champion: Gajendran Balachandran

trounced competitors from 4 other clubs in Area W2, and will be representing Area W2 in the Division W International Speech and Table Topics Contest!

Come one come all to support our very worthy HELP TMC Champions at the Div W Contest, on the 28th of March 2009, Sunway University College, Auditorium 2.

We're confident Gajendran and Jason would do us all proud and continue our impressive winning streak.

The Clash of the Titans.

On the 14th of Feb 2009, many people gathered in a single location to bear witness to an highly-anticipated event. No, it was not a mass marriage ceremony, it was HELP UC Toastmasters' Club International Speech and Table Topics Contest 2009!

As our esteemed Area Governor, Ernest Wong said on the day: "Quality speakers, quality role-players and quality crowd equals to quality contest."

Now, it gives me great pleasure to announce the winners on the day. Let us start with the Table Topics Contest.

Female power pulls through as our secretary Evon Low comes in at Third Place!



In second place, Jason Lim!



And, the Table Topics Champion who will be representing us to the Area Contest.... GAJENDRAN!!



As for the International Speech section, in third place we have John Lee!



In second place, Gajendran!



And, HELP's 2009 International Speech Champion who will be representing the club to the Area W2 competition is, Jason Lim!
